KYCWire is a sanctions screening API built on a simple observation: most teams do not need a compliance suite — they need one reliable call that answers «is this name on a list?» and leaves a trail they can show an auditor.
What is inside on day one
- Five official sources — OFAC SDN and Consolidated, EU, UK, UN — loaded from the publishers' own files every 6 hours, versioned, with a public status page.
- Matching that survives real data: transliteration, aliases with the publisher's strong/weak marking, penalties for conflicting birth dates. «Владимир Путин» finds Vladimir Vladimirovich PUTIN; «Ким Чен Ын» finds Jong Un KIM.
- Batch up to 10,000 names, monitoring with signed webhooks, and a CSV-exportable audit trail that records the list versions of every check.
- A free plan with 200 checks a month on every list — no card, no contract, key in about a minute.
What is deliberately not inside
No PEP data, no adverse media, no ownership analysis. There is no official public source for those, and reselling someone else's database was not the product we wanted to build.
